Lets just say I'm so excited to start student teaching. Not only because I love to teach, and I think it will be a good experience (hopefully) but because I'm getting cabin fever. Glen now works days so hes gone pretty much from 6am-6pm. I have made some friends out here, but not like the friends I had back home where we planned on doing something everyday even if it was just sitting at each others houses. I sit here and clean, go the gym, plan expensive trips and act like im really going on them, look for stuff for the baby, and EAT! I have never had so much of nothing to do in my life. I thought it would be nice but it sure isn't. I tried getting a job to keep me busy but.. Nothing. But It will be nice because these next couple months should fly by student teaching, graduating and having our little peanut.
It was so nice to go home this last week and spend time with our families. Glen only had 4 days off so it was a quick trip. We spent a day and a half with Glens family and a day and a half with mine. It was a lot of fun to play with our nieces and nephews, and celebrate my favorite holiday.. the 24th. In Spanish Fork they have a big celebration called the Fiesta days. Glen doesn't really get why I love it so much, but we have so many family traditions during that time so I think he enjoys it. We went to the car show, walked around to all the booths, went to the carnival (I didnt ride any rides.. sad face) but Glen road some with family. We tried to get rodeo tickets but they were sold out. I was kinda bummed. I got to see old friends we I hadn't seen in awhile. Monday morning before we left home we went to the parade. It was sad to say good bye but hopefully will be able to go back sometime soon.
While we were in Utah I realized my preception of everything sure has changed living in this desert. I thought Hurricane was so green and northern Utah was like Ireland! While we were in utah, not only did we got to see family and friends we got to see water, greenery, rivers, streams, trees, RAIN, and last but not least, we got to feel cooler temperatures. When we were down in Hurricane I mentioned to Glen that it has to be around 90 degrees here and that it didn't feel so hot. When we looked at the temperature it said 102. I thought what has happened to me to think that 102 degrees is cooler. I guess living in 115 degree weather while pregnant really does something to ya. Going to northern Utah it was like a dream. It was nice to be able to go out in the evenings and have BBQ's or just sit outside. It feels like it never cools down out here. Even when the sun goes down its still close to 100 degrees.
Whats new with baby?????/
Well Im 25 weeks! CRAZY! I can't believe that I'm almost into my 3 trimester and that we will have our little guy here in 14 weeks or maybe less... Hopefully 12 or 13. But not not early cause I want him healthy. I'm getting bigger an bigger everyday. You can see his little kicks now. It feels like he is doing flips in my stomach. I'm starting to notice his schedule when he sleeps and when he is awake. When he kicks he kicks pretty hard. Maybe he'll be a little soccer player like his daddy. He is taking up my whole stomach and loves sprawling out and kicking my ribs. He is a little womb hacker! Can't wait to meet our little peanut!
I'm bummed we missed you. Had we known you would be here we would have tried to meet you somewhere even just for a few minutes. Glad to hear things are going well.
